We are looking for a creative graphic designer/art director with up-to-date knowledge to design solutions with high visual impact.
1. Job Summary
1.1. The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and editing compelling graphics for websites, digital advertising, email and various social media platforms as well as compelling designs for print media, including direct mail, brochures, flyers and large-format pieces
2. Roles & Responsibilities
2.1. Ownership, Creation and Execution
2.1.1. Plan and execute concepts by studying trends, clients and market culture.
2.1.2. Illustrates concept by initially designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
2.1.3. Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval by line director and account manager.
2.1.4. Produces a creative execution of the approved rough sketch whilst paying attention to the fine details and overall aesthetics.
2.1.5. Using all the necessary utensils if required such as Wacoms and lightboxes in order to ensure that the end produce is of our standard
2.1.6. Completing tasks and projects assigned on time and within the deadline.
2.1.7. Maintains and enhances on key skills by researching in free time in order to ease the creative development of any project
2.1.8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and collaborating with other team member should they require any assistance which can be existent.
2.1.9. Works collaboratively with Copywriters, Key Account Managers, HODs, Creative Director, marketing partners, other members of the Creative team, and clients to meet tight deadlines whilst producing design work that is up to the client’s and our quality standards.
2.1.10. Proves experience in design trend analysis and visual extension process. Must be highly proficient in production techniques. Maintains knowledge of graphic design principles and print production processes.
2.1.11. Other responsibilities or tasks deemed necessary by Creative Director / HODs.
3.1. Responsible for cataloguing, storage and maintenance of image library, artwork and logos to ensure information is accessible and available to all members of teams.
3.2. The incumbent will be favorably viewed by Heads of Departments (HODs) and colleagues, and will be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties, producing quality work even with tight deadlines.
3.3. Maintain consistency in projects within graphic standards guidelines for each brand.
3.4. Interface with co-workers and outside vendors effectively
3.5. Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
3.6. Work independently, with the Creative Director / HOD, and as a team.
3.7. Must possess high attention to detail.
3.8. Must be a problem solver with good communication skills.
3.9. Continually seek additional opportunities for professional development to stay on top of advancements in web design and development in a marketing capacity
